I've been wanting to participate in the PA-IPL Bike/Hike for the past few years, so am glad to finally make it work! I enjoy bike riding on my own and with friends/family, though don't do it as often as I would like. It's good for me, it's good for the planet - and I get to see the world from a different perspective, and at a slightly different pace, while I'm at it!
My spiritual orientation - drawing primarily from the witness of progressive Christianity, including both Jewish and Christian sacred texts - grounds me in the belief, as Quakers like to say, that there is that of God - divine presence - in everyone and everything. And it grounds me in awareness of and gratitude for our interdependence with all of creation.
As part of an overall commitment to justice and social change, it also motivates me to further develop my own (and our congregation's) sustainable practices and participate more broadly in ecological activism toward a renewable energy future.
Thanks for your support!
