CLEAN ENERGY BY 2035

Dear Senator/Legislator ___________,
As a constituent, I want to remind you that President Biden ran on enacting a 100 percent carbon free electricity standard. He brought it up in the debates and put it at the center of his climate platform. The people of the United States elected President Biden and members of Congress with a mandate to enact a 100 percent carbon-free electricity standard.
Congress must pass an infrastructure package that includes a 100 percent clean electricity standard by 2035, before the August recess. Please contact the White House and urge them to include a 100 percent by 2035 clean electricity standard in their proposed infrastructure package.
Exposure to fossil fuel combustion makes someone more likely to die of COVID19, and communities of color have been disproportionately burdened by fossil fuel infrastructure. Already, wind, solar, and battery storage are cheaper than coal and gas. Over three million people in the United States are employed in the clean energy sector. And this number will continue to rise as it is one of the fastest growing job sectors in the United States.
As your constituent, I am asking you to please pass a note to the White House asking them to include a 100 percent by 2035 clean electricity standard in their proposed infrastructure package before the August recess.
Sincerely,
