  • Also known as the Susquehanna River Commons, the Luzerne County Levee Trail is a paved path made up of 4 different reaches on either side of the Susquehanna River.

  • The trail consists of a system of interconnected paved trails built atop the flood protection levees in the Wyoming Valley.

  • Open greenspace surrounded by trees providing a nice peaceful bike ride with nature.

  • The trail is well marked with historical information plaques and mile markers painted on the asphalt.

  • Most road intersections have the trail passing under bridges to allow safe crossing.

  • The multi-purpose path gets frequent use by runners, walkers and bicyclists.

  • Numerous benches provide convenient rest areas.
